Golden Milk Smoothie Bowl

One of my favorite weekend activities is hitting up local cafes and trying new smoothies. Recently, I was out and saw a golden milk smoothie on a cafe’s menu—of course I had to try it. The vibrant golden-colored smoothie was so creamy, sweet, and perfectly spiced. If you’re looking to step up your smoothie game, give this one a try—you will not be disappointed.

So lets talk about that golden color. That comes from turmeric root which, when ground, is a vibrant, yellow color. It is that ingredient that makes the trendy “golden milk” golden and also the ingredient that makes curry the bright yellow we recognize it for. Turmeric has been widely recognized for having anti-inflammatory effects and has claims that it prevents disease. I love turmeric for its earthy flavor and lovely color. If you haven’t took the “golden milk” plunge yet, now is the time!
